Your first steps

You’ve added your name. Here’s how to make it count.

  1. Share the six demands with three people you trust. Send them the website rather than a screenshot, so they can read every demand in full and see it comes from us. Choose people you would trust with your own name.
  2. Read how to stay safe. Before you go to any meeting or protest, read the safety guide and save it as a PDF on your phone, in case the internet is cut.
  3. Follow this page. Bookmark it and check it once a week. It needs no account or phone number. The first action will be posted here. For other ways to get announcements, see Stay in touch.
  4. Talk about the demands where you already are. At work, at college, in your union, your bar association or your neighbourhood. Talk face to face with people you know. Agreeing with the Constitution needs nobody’s permission.
  5. Bring your organisation in. If your party, union, association or group accepts these principles, it can endorse the movement as an equal. Tick “Party or organisation” on the form.

Is it really us?

Fake accounts and fake messages will appear. Here is how to tell.

  • Our only website is pakistanrt.com. If it is blocked, the same site is at pakistanrt.pages.dev. Any other address is not ours.
  • Every official channel is listed on this page. If a group, channel or account isn’t listed below, it isn’t ours, however official it looks.
  • Every action is announced here first. If someone forwards you a date, a place or an instruction, check that it appears on this page before you go.
  • We will never ask you to “confirm” your sign-up. Your details were encrypted on your own phone before they were sent, and we don’t need them again. A message asking you to re-enter them is fake.
  • Emails from us will never carry attachments or ask you to log in. Our only email address is updates@pakistanrt.com. An email from any other address claiming to be us is fake. No one will see anyone else’s address.

  • Reveals nothing about you The feed of this page New announcements come to you, with no account and no phone number. Copy this link into a free feed reader app, such as Feeder on Android or NetNewsWire on iPhone. The address is pakistanrt.com/updates.xml.
  • Private to you Email For people who left an email when they joined. Our emails come only from updates@pakistanrt.com. Each one comes to you alone, and no one sees anyone else’s address.
  • No phone number needed ChatFort An encrypted messenger that needs no phone number, email or name. Our ChatFort groups are for announcements: you read, you don’t post. Join them under a random name (the app calls it “incognito”). Group invitations will be posted here. Before you join, set an app passcode and a panic code in ChatFort, so an unlocked phone shows nothing if it is taken.
  • Can hide your number Signal For private conversations in small groups of people you know. In Signal’s settings, create a username and set “Who can see my number” to Nobody. We don’t run large Signal groups, so any that claims to be ours is fake.
  • The company knows your number WhatsApp Channel Opening soon. It will repeat what is posted here. Other followers can’t see your number, but WhatsApp does, so it knows you follow us and could be made to hand that record over.
  • The company knows your number Telegram Channel Opening soon. It will repeat what is posted here, and can be read in a web browser without an account. If you follow it with an account, Telegram knows your number. We will only ever run a channel: any Telegram group claiming to be us is fake.

    If you left an email when you joined, a welcome message is on its way. Please reply to it, so we know it reached you.

    The manifesto, the six demands and the safety guide are now online in English and Urdu. Thank you to everyone who added their name on the first day.
